Bronc Horsepower Sports Drink

Compare this recipe to G*tor*id or Power*id. You can't beat the cost, only about 15 cents per quart.

To make one quart, place the following in a 32 ounce bottle:

1/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt (sodium chloride)
1/4 teaspoon salt substitute (potassium chloride)
1/4 teaspoon unsweetened Kool-Aid mix, any flavor
water to fill the bottle
Shake well. Chill.

Hint: Do you want to put ice cubes in your water bottle and find that those square cubes won't fit through the neck on your bottle? Check out Ice Tubes, an ice tray that makes cylinder-shaped ice cubes that slip into most water bottles. I bought mine at Linen's N' Things in Billings.
