I always enjoy the Bing Crosby program with the "Small One" drama in
it. Lum & Abner have a great show that they did for many years. Most
other I listen to have been mentioned.

I'd have to say that my most favorite Christmas program was "It's a
Wonderful Life"
w/James Stewart. The radio version varies somewhat from the television
version, but
it's still a wonderful presentation and has a wonderful message.

Subject: Wisconsin old-time radio
I was wondering if anyone in or near Madison, Wisconsin can make a trip to an
archive and copy some old-time radio material on a photo copy machine. I
would have no problem paying them for their time, and reimbursing expenses
(parking, copy fees, etc.). The task would take a day (or two at most). I can
fly out and copy the material myself but paying someone to do it for me would
save me both time and money. And yes, they would get acknowledgement in the
book and free copies of the book. Please contact me off-list.

Subject: The Green Hornet newspaper strip
For anyone who doesn't check out my blog on a weekly basis, I recently posted
scans of the newspaper comic strip for THE GREEN HORNET which was never
published.
[removed]
Also a recent article about radio comedians and how they ganged up in their
1947 battle against the NBC Vice President.
The blog features a posting every Friday. The next two year's worth of blog
posts are already done in advance so there will be other old-time radio
goodies to check out in the coming weeks. (And you can browse the past two
year's worth of posts as well.)
