Subject: Defense Attorney

What a series this is: "Defense Attorney"! Mercedes McCambridge starred
in this program during 1951-52. Hickerson shows that there are 6 episodes
in circulation. A friend has found 12 episodes. It is a very interesting
and
dramatic series. It was on ABC. At the end of one episode, the announcer
notes that McCambridge had been invited to address the American Bar
Association at their next annual meeting. One episode marked "Defense
Rests"
was done for NBC.
It looks like there had been episodes broadcast for 4 months in 1951
and 12 months in 1952.
This series really demonstrates McCambridge's excellent acting skills.
The recordings are in excellent sound.
