Subject: Doo Wah Diddy continued

So far, in response to whose relatives lived in Doo Wah Diddy, a couple of
respondents said Phil Harris, and one said Bing Crosby. From the lyrics, you
can't tell if Phil Harris or anyone has relatives in Doo Wah Diddy. Doo Wah
Diddy is several choruses removed from his "Mammie" in "Alabamie." The Bing
Crosby guess is more interesting, although I have yet to uncover evidence of
it. Phil Harris and Bing Crosby were good friends and they appeared on radio
and TV together several times. Any one of these times could have had a
mention about Bing's relatives. My examination of broadcasts so far comes up
empty. However, my question is based on a Jack Benny Show in early 1948, and
Jack's apparent hatred of Phil's signature song in a very funny bit. Many
fans don't realize that the song was actually written by Andy Razaf, and not
Phil Harris. So, based on the Benny show, whose relatives lived in Doo Wah
Diddy?
