McDonald passed away ahe wrote a very good history of OTR . I was a
collector since 1972 OTR programs and may wife thought I was some kind
of nut [maybe she was correct} She bought me a a new book for my
Birthday "Don't Touch Th st Dial" Published 1979. I had no references
material. I read the book and it helped me remember a lot of program. I
grew up with radio I was a lot older than McDonald. It is a great book
for those just learning about OTR
her is the Obituary that appeared in the Chicago Tribune column of

Subject: mea culpa

Apologies to both Dan Hughes and Chad Rinni for neglecting to
acknowledge their important roles in the upcoming Nostalgia Expo.
That's what I get for trying to do the write up from sheer memory.

The Trivia Bowl, which Dan hosts, has been a very well received part of
the convention since even before we started calling it Nostalgia Expo.
You definitely don't want to miss it. Dan is also a wonderful emcee for
our raffle drawing and auctioneer for the auction items. It's not an
understatement to say that we couldn't put the show on withouthis many
contributions.

And Chad! His music makes an enormous difference in the overall quality
of the recreations. Having first met him at the convention, I quickly
enlisted his help in doing music for some of my ART shows and he really
brings them up a full quantum level or more. Check out our January
podcast of Retribution if you don't believe me.
[removed] His music alone is worth the price of
admission.

One more thing that I left out - and it's a big thing - Martin Grams is
going to give a presentation on Truth or Consequences on Saturday
morning. He tells me he has some new material that will knock our
collective socks off so I'm really looking forward to that part of the show.

Looking forward to a great Expo. It will be here before we know it.
