It should be noted that Harry was a CHILD actor in the early fifties.
He was one of the cute little voices of the boys in the Beverly Hills
Beavers.

Paula Keiser asked about Frank Luther's radio program. I checked my latest
Hickerson (4th Revised Ultimate [removed]) and found nothing under Luther's
name. However, I did find "Luther-Layman Singers" with Frank Luther and
Zora Layman, on NBC from 1939-1941. It was a 15-minute program, but the
entry does not say which episodes are in circulation.

Subject: Lum & Abner are back!
Today fans of the Lum & Abner Society got a notice in the mail that
the group is coming out of hibernation. As most OTR fans know, the
last Lum & Abner Society convention was held in 2005 and their
newspaper stopped publication in 2007. Even their web site
disappeared when their beloved web master, Jim Temple, died.
But there's good news, my friends. A new web site is up:
[removed] and it contains back issue of "Jot "Em
Down Journal." Also a convention is planned for June 4, 2011 in
Mena, AR, which will include a visit to the real Pine Ridge.
Membership in the organization is now free, since no newsletter is
being published. To get on their mailing list, email Donald Pitchford
at <donald@[removed];, or call Sam Brown at
618-827-3664, or write the society at [removed] Box 869, Carthage, TN 75633.
