I've managed to scrape up a few (like six) episodes of Lorenzo Jones, but
would like more if I could find them.
It was a popular soap in it's day and I was hoping more would have survived.
Any help with a source would be appreciated.

Subject: Truth or Consequences
Fred asked if anyone might have the 1947 Truth or Consequences "episodes
featuring Clara Bow as the mystery guest called Mrs. Hush".
I have seven episodes in my Truth or Consequences collection where
guests attempt to identify the identity Mrs. Hush and are not
successful. The first episode aired on October 18, 1947 and the last on
November 29, 1947. The next episode I have is dated December 20, 1947
and there is no longer any mention of Mrs. Hush or Clara Bow. I'm not
certain if the episode is in circulation when Mrs. Hush is identified as
Clara Bow, but if anyone has an interest in the seven episodes I have,
I'm happy to share them.
All six episodes are zipped up into a 46 megabyte file that can
downloaded at the link below.

Subject: War of Worlds analysis
A convincing analysis by Slate critiques the PBS version as follows:
". . .The supposed panic was so tiny as to be practically immeasurable on the
night of the broadcast. Despite repeated assertions to the contrary in
the PBS and NPR programs, almost nobody was fooled by Welles' broadcast. . .several important CBS affiliates (including Boston's WEEI) pre-empted
Welles' broadcast in favor of local commercial programming, further
shrinking its audience. CBS commissioned a nationwide survey the day
after the broadcast, and network executives were relieved to discover
just how few people actually tuned in. "In the first place, most people
didn't hear it," CBS's Frank Stanton recalled later. "But those who did hear it, looked at it is as a prank and accepted it that way."

Subject: The Ted Lewis Show
This is my first post on the board so I want to introduce myself, I'm a great
OTR fan and the Curator of Music at the Ted Lewis Museum in Circleville,
Ohio. We recently discovered an incomplete set of 16" transcription discs for
Ted Lewis' 1947 radio show at the museum. We had these transferred and are
currently working on figuring out the best way to make them available to the
public.
I am looking for copies of the missing episodes for our archives. If anyone
has any episodes of the Ted Lewis Show in their collection, I'd greatly
appreciate if you could email me. We are also searching for any other rare
OTR appearances of Ted Lewis.
Thanks for your help!
