Subject: Mama Bloom's Brood, etc.
I have acquired two programs that I know absolutely nothing about, I am hoping
that someone out there can be of some help. The first is "The Anderson
Family". One of its featured players is Walter Tetley. The other is a soap
opera called "Mama Bloom's Brood". All I know of that one is that it was done
in 1934.

Subject: Haunting Hour replies
Within hours of my posting my request for "Haunting Hour" info I four
replies in my mailbox with exactly what I needed. Thanks Elmer, Ron and
Gerry for jumping on it. Just goes to show the power of radio--even old time
radio.
OTR fans are the best.

Subject: Listen! I Hear a Fire ...
Kevin Michaels reminisces,
I remember sending away for a Premium that was a SFX Kit and a script
to perform a radio show, but can't remember the program that offered it.
<snip> included: Two small pieces of sandpaper
for a match effect, cellophane for fire.
The only Sound Effects kit that springs to mind is Jack Armstrong Sound
Effects Kit, issued in 1941. Its cellophane was red, I suppose to
simulate "fire." It also had a toy balloon, which, when inflated and
filled with b-bs, simulated thunder if shaken or, better, having the
contents roll around inside of it.

Subject: Re: Glow in the Dark
I missed reading the start of this subject, but I'm guessing someone asked
about the different premiums that glowed.
From my own memory, I recall a small gun, I think from Tom Mix, that had a
piece that glowed. This was small, a little larger than a charm that would
be on someone's bracelet.
Then there were Tom Mix spurs. If my memory serves me right, the spurs glowed.
I know that I had others, but I just can't think of them right now. I'll
probably wake up at 3 am this morning and remember the rest.
Oh, there was a compass that might have been SGT. Preston or Tom Mix, It
was triangular shaped and had a small round compass in the middle.
