Subject: Young Johnny Carson
Johnny Carson, after he was released from the Navy after WW2, went to
college in Nebraska and earned a degree in Radio and Speech, intending
to go into the radio industry. OK, we know how that worked out, but
originally radio was his target industry.
For his senior thesis, he completed an oral assignment recorded at the
college radio station. For his project, Carson chose "How to Write
Comedy for Radio", an examination of the techniques and devices that the
behind-the-scenes writers used for comedians such as Jack Benny and Bob
Hope to illustrate these comedy techniques.
The 16" lacquers sold for over $4000 in 2005.

have no connection to it. I just like reading about this stuff.
