Now I figure it will more than five years before we can hear all the
wonderful shows that Bob has outlined.

Michael,

I brought the same subject thing up to Bob via E-mail, yesterday, and he and
Dick kindly decided to change their updates to approximately every other
week. So, now, we're down to "only" [removed] years for the whole series. A local
OTR friend of mine taped about half a dozen of these shows off of WAMU here
in DC, and I've enjoyed them a GREAT deal. They're still being played once a
month on WAMU (Sunday night?), so you could tune into them over the Internet
to catch some out of order.

I cannot recommend Dick Bertel's show highly enough. Thank you Bob and Dick
for making them available!

Subject: Clarification Please

I read in a recent mailing from Radio Spirits
that "Mr. Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons" was the longest
running detective show on radio (18 years) What confuses
me is that, according to John Dunning's "Encyclopedia of
Old Time Radio", the radio version of "The Shadow" was
on the air consistently for 27 years. Which one was on
the air the longest?

Another OTR Fan,

Kenneth Clarke

I am planning one of my future Saturday night broadcast on Yesterday USA
and
I would like some input.

I've heard "The Breakfast Club" and "Fibber McGee & Molly" from that date and
highly recommend both. They seem to sum up the feeling right. FM&M was
especially interesting with the joke about the globe with Japan on it, and the
part where we hear "My Country 'Tis of Thee." It wasn't until years after I
first heard the broadcast that I learned it was the audience singing the
song, not
a recording.
