Molly usually called Fibber McGee, just "McGee" (particularly when she was
trying to find him or was upset with him) or some endearment - but she did
call him Fibber on occasion. It wasn't like "The Couple Next Door," where
the names of the principle characters were never mentioned.

I could not see any place where Molly actually called her
husband Fibber--or any other name. She did use terms like "dearie" but
never called him Fibber.

I specifically remembered her repeatedly calling him "McGee." I guess it
would be in character never to call him "Fibber."

". . . let me be among the first to praise Time magazine, and specifically
contributor Ron Simon, for his appraisal of the life of Himan Brown in the
current issue.

"Simon says (which seems to be a cute idea for a game) . . ."

Simon Says happens to be one of the books on the big bands, written by the
expert on that era, George T. Simon, whom you can hear by tuning in to
[removed] and clicking on "A One Night Stand with the Big
Bands" - You'll find four one-hour programs featuring host Arnold Dean
interviewing Mr. Simon, along with appropriate music. You'll also hear
programs featuring Artie Shaw, Ray Coniff, Teddy Wilson, Billy Butterfield,
and the voices and music that made that era so great.

You can also hear an interview with Himan Brown, recorded in 1973 in the new
CBS Radio Mystery Theater studio, along with many other hour-long shows, all
free for the download.

In all of the shows that I have listened to over the years I've never heard
Molly call her husband. In addition to "dearie" and "himself", she at
times emphatically call him "Magee".
