I was shocked to hear this. :( I spoke with Eddie about 2 years ago when he
called out of the blue about a book he wanted to do. I encouraged him to do
it, but I don't think he got around to it. A real shame. But he sent me 2
signed color 8x10s of Jimminy Cricket after we talked. I truly treasure
those, then as much as now.

Subject: Eddie Carroll

I met Eddie Carroll at the unveiling of the Jack Benny statue in downtown
Waukegan in 2002. He was a wonderful performer. I attended the event with my
two children, who were only about 8 and 11 at the time. They were familiar
with Jack Benny's radio shows, as well as his TV and movie work, and they
were fascinated--as we all were--by Eddie's impersonation of Jack. What I'll
remember most about Eddie is how he attended to the kids' questions during
the dinner and how he played around with his character for them. A very kind
man.

Folks;

Apparently the last time didn't teach Ken Stockinger or Neil Ellis
anything (some people never learn), so join your humble Listmaster this
evening as he desperately pretends to know what he's talking about. Visit
[removed] and click the Listen link, or search for "Radio
Once More" on [removed] (while trying to avoid all the javascript).

Since it's their show, I'm a whole lot more opinionated than I am here, so
feel free to call in. Heck, we might even talk about [removed] ;)
