First, some background. During World War II there was a prisoner of war camp
in the Phoenix, Arizona area. It was at a place called Papago Park.
Primarily it housed German sailors. Around Christmas of 1944, 25 of the POWs
escaped. It was the largest POW escape in the United States during the
war. Flash forward. Now there has been written a radio drama about the
escape. It will be broadcast this coming Saturday evening, February 14, on
station KTAR, [removed] FM here in Phoenix. You can also catch it live on
[removed] From what I have read it is a drama, with actors, sound effects,
etc. A warning however, it is a two-hour long broadcast. Begins at 7pm

Subject: Guy Gibson 'Dambuster's ' raid 1943
Hi.
Can anyone let me know what audio survives of Wing Commander Guy Gibson VC (
of Dambusters fame ). Following the famous 1943 raid he went on a speaking
tour of the US and Canada. Do any of his speeches or radio interviews survive
?
Ceers ! Graeme ( ORCA / UK )
