SAME TIME, SAME STATION
Same Time, Same Station will pay tribute to John Dehner for most of the
program. But first, we take a look at COLUMBIA WORKSHOP
and Norman Corwin's 26 by Corwin Series. We'll hear Anne Was An
Ordinary Girl from 07/13/41 Episode (011)
John Dehner was a busy radio actor. He starred in Frontier Gentlemen
and Have Gun, Will Travel, to name just two. He also starred as a judge,
in an audition program that did not sell. We'll hear that program from
02/13/52. The Death Of The Playboy. Agatha Winters Case. The name of the
series was to be called: THE JUDGE
After our look at our weekly radio calendar, we hear the first of two
shows that were similar to one another in one real aspect.
The story lines were certainly different but the character that John
Dehner played in both programs was the same.
First we hear, ROMANCE
This was also the last program in the "Romance" series.
Also please note that we'll hear both William Conrad and Parley baer
in this program. both play drastically different characters than we are
used to hearing in Gunsmoke.
And then we hear, FRONTIER GENTLEMAN
from 06/08/58 episode (19) Belljoy's Prisoner.
