Sad news to share that Janette Carter passed away this morning (Sunday,
1/22).

Janette was the last of the second generation of the Original Carter Family,
broadcasting with them over XERA, Del Rio, Texas in the early 1940s.

Her parents were Sara and AP Carter; cousins Helen, Anita and June with
their Mother Maybelle were Grand Ole Opry stars in the 50s and 60s.
