Subject: The Great Gildersleeve

I am a fan of the Great Gildersleeve program and have been listening to it
on tape and CD for years. Now, I fear I have heard the last new episode. Can
anyone shed some light on how the series left the airwaves? The last Kraft
sponsored program on my CD is "Aunt Hattie Returns Home". The next episode
is titled "The New Adventures of the Great Gildersleeve" and is an NBC
production with no sponsor. This program is "Floyd's Inheritance" with no
music between scenes. The last program is also NBC sponsored and is titled
"Gildersleeve's Water Problems". This show has a new single writer and
Bertie is obviously another actress. The final thing on the disc is a
Gildersleeve re-creation with part of the original cast. Hopefully some one
will know if this is the end of the Gildersleeve run on radio or if there
are other episodes out there somewhere.
Thanking you in advance,
Bill Schell & black Lab "Gildy"
