Subject: looking to do more script books

Hi, all. Even though they don't sell well, I love reading and publishing
scripts, so I'd love to put more books of radio scripts out. If anyone here
has
contacts with radio writers, let me know. It's easier to deal with people
than archives!
Thanks.

This may have been answered before, but I found the meaning of the term "I
have a [removed] for you". It means I have a "Trade Last" for you, and that means
that one has heard a compliment about a person and offers to tell the person
the compliment under the condition that that person will first report a
compliment made about oneself. Abbr: [removed] Origin? 1890-1895. Amer.

NEWTOWN, Conn. - J. David Goldin, an eccentric 69-year-old with a handlebar
mustache and an obsession with radio, was trolling eBay one evening in
September 2010, looking for old radios and recordings, when he spotted an item
that piqued his interest: the master copy of a broadcast radio interview with
baseball legend Babe Ruth as he hunted for quail and pheasants on a crisp
morning in 1937.

Subject: RE: The Lost Special

Kermit wrote the following concerning the Conan Doyle story "The Lost Special":

Several people have commented that this story was done on the Sherlock
Holmes radio show, but if it was, it wasn't run under the > original
[removed] Can anybody confirm if it was indeed adapted as a Sherlock Holmes
broadcast?

Yes, it was done twice in the early days of the show's original scriptwriter,
Edith Meiser--first on June 14, 1933 under the title "The Lost Train," and
repeated on November 18, 1934 as "The Case of the Lost Special," the latter
appearance being part of a series that Meiser was doing then, adapting
non-Holmes Doyle stories into Sherlock adventures. (Others included "The
Hebrew Breastplate" and "The Syrian Mummy.") It was also at this time that
she started writing her own Holmes stories for radio.
