This year's Great Plains Radio History Symposium focuses on radio's live
music era and will feature veteran radio performers from the region and
presentations on various aspects of radio history. It takes place on October
14 at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. To submit a proposal, or

Subject:  Captain Midnight Radio Scripts Rescued

Exciting news for radio historians.  582 scripts from the Captain
Midnight radio show were rescued from being discarded.  Collector Larry
Zdeb related the details at the Radio Premium Exchange website.

The scripts were apparently slated for disposal originally.  They appear
to cover virtually every one of the Ovaltine sponsored programs.
Ovaltine sponsored the program from the Fall of 1940 through 1949.
