Subject: Holy Bible on 16 2/3 rpm
My collection includes two albums covering
most of the Holy Bible, read by Marvin Miller.
He does a superb job of reading. Even the
genealogy in Matthew sounds interesting,
even dramatic!
One of our collectors asked me for a copy
of what I have. Since they were recorded at
16 2/3 rpm and the adaptor is missing, I recorded
these sets on open reel tape at 7 1/2 ips, the
disc speed was set at 33 1/3 rpm. In playback
I set my tape speed at 3 3/4 ips.
I completed the New Testament, but have not
started doing the Old Testament. The OT has only
9 books. I did not make a note of who wanted
these recordings. I just made the dubs and shipped
them. If you are the one, I would like your name,
in case I do the Old Testament.

Subject: Eddie Anderson and Jack Benny on the big screen
Those in the Los Angeles area might be interested to know that on August 31
the Aero Theater in Santa Monica will be showing "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad
World" on the big screen. I'll be going with my son so he can see Eddie
Anderson (and a little bit of Jack Benny) in action.
