Subject: OTR conventions

As Jay Hickerson and friends prepare to host the last Friends of Old Time
Radio show in Newark, I'd like to throw a question out to the group
concerning the future of OTR conventions. I know of a few such shows that
happen annually, particularly those in Cincinnati and Seattle. Over in
Aberdeen, MD, our friend Martin Grams Jr. hosts a Nostalgia Convention that,
from all reports, gets a little bigger and better each year.

With that in mind, I'd like the opinion of the OTR community: In your
opinion, is there room for another convention? Are people likely to miss the
Newark show to the point of attending a different show in its place, or will
it be enough to have the surviving conventions that we'll have once FOTR has
shut up the shop? I'd be curious to hear the thoughts of those who've
attended any or all of these shows and those who haven't.
