Subject: SUSPENSE
To answer Joe's question, there are probably a few more episodes that were involved with script repeats.
Many radio programs are still elusive. For all we know, half a dozen episodes of The Thin Man were
incorporated into SUSPENSE scritps in later years. So much more is still being discovered and unearthed
thanks to long hours of research, so the exact number will probably grow as the years pass.
Many script writers reused the same plots and changed the names of fictional characters so they could
come up with a new script quickly. INNER SANCTUM, for example, the script writers would change the sex
of the main protagonist from male to female and the names of the characters assuming the radio audience
would not remember. Sometime even the titles were changed. Sometimes a Mr. District Attorney script became
a Public Defender script.
In short, the scripts could be reused in their entirety or partial with major revisions. I have no doubt
there will be more discovered in the coming years.

Subject: Re: Suspense's Recycled Scripts
Based on the synopsis in Martin's book INNER SANCTUM MYSTERIES, a script
titled "The Enchanted Ghost," broadcast on INNER SANCTUM on December 26, 1949
and repeated on December 25, 1950 was recycled for SUSPENSE as "Yuletide
Miracle" on December 17, 1961.
I've never compared the two, but I've been told that "The Unforgiving
Corpse," the INNER SANCTUM broadcast of May 28, 1951, is the same script as
"The Lunatic Hour," from SUSPENSE on June 17, 1962.

Subject: Re: Suspense's Recycled Scripts
Here are two more John Roeburt scripts, originally performed on INNER
SANCTUM, whose synopses in Martin's book sound an awful lot like Roeburt
scripts with different titles that were done on SUSPENSE in 1961 and 1962:
INNER SANCTUM: "Death Is a Magician," from July 12 1948 and SUSPENSE: "Memory
of a Murder," from March 25, 1962.
INNER SANCTUM: "Murder by Consent," from December 18, 1950 and SUSPENSE: "Man
Trap," from November 26, 1961.
Note that "Memory of a Murder" is already identified as a TALES OF FATIMA
script from July 23, 1949.
Something to investigate.
