Sometime ago, one of our readers from Great Britain, gave the web address to
the database the BBC was compiling on its vase radio programs.
I very carefully marked down the address, and it is somewhere in my clutter I
keep. Does anyone know the address?
Thanks
Mary

Folks;
Was saddened to read in Jay Hickerson's excellent Hello, Again (if you
aren't already a subscriber, email him at JayHick@[removed] for subscription
price and info) of the passing of Ted Reid. Ignoring his radio, television,
and film credits (and there's a lot of ignoring there!), he was one heckuva
nice man. We had a chat at FOTR quite a few years ago, and as I frequently
do, I asked him what role in his career was the most _fun_ for [removed] his
finest work, not his most lucritive, just the most fun to perform. He quickly
answered the Walt Disney films - he told me he got paid to "chew the scenery"
with some of the best actors in the country. He practically twinkled when
laughing about his frequent blustering explosions in those films.
Funny thing is, I remember him most fondly from the American television
version of That Was The Week That Was. (Funnier still is that I am
practically alone in fondly remembering that series, and Mr. Reid didn't have
much to say about it - always wondered why it seemed an unplesent experience
for him, but didn't have the guts to ask.)
Charlie
