Subject: A 1925 radio recording?

I just got a little mystery disc at auction that I've posted on my blog.
It sounds like it might be a aircheck from 1925.

I'd like to get other opinions from researchers a little more familiar
with early radio than I am.

Thanks.

This a review of book that I didn't finish, but a lot of radio buff my

My wife was brosing in Our Library (McHenry, IL, looking for a book that

book, soft cover, That has never been opened unit I opened it. The
author has 9 pages of Acknowledgments, 15 pages of Bibliography and 29
pages of index. total pages 350.

I started to read and found like it was a text book and that turned me
off, I was hard to read because book was new the pages did want to stay
[removed] couldn't keep my eye opened.

Most the material has been available for years. The info radio programs
etc .I know as a collector. I grew up with radio.

But for a young person or a student it is a great source of radio history.

Andrew asked:

Dark House is usually included with the collection of Hermit's Cave episodes,
but it is about 12 minutes long whereas the normal length of a HC episode is
30 minutes. Is it a re-creation?

The reasons can be many, but it is probable that, like THE WITCH'S TALE, the
30 minute recordings were syndicated and some radio stations chose to
broadcast
the dramas in 15 minute time slots, thus as a two-parter. A few of those
WITCH'S TALE broadcasts do exist in the 15 minute format, as an example.

By the way, if you have not heard "The Devil Doctor" on THE WITCH'S TALE,
I highly recommend it. Turn out the lights.
