I was doing some research on some Christmas songs today and found that All I
Want for Christmas is My 2 Front Teeth was first broadcast in 1948 on the
Perry Como show and was sung by The Satisfiers.
Anyone know if that show still exists?
Thanks.
Bill

Subject: Two tangential Bob and Ray questions
I recently discovered this brilliant collection of Bob and Ray present the
CBS Radio Network on [removed]:
[removed]
1) at the start of many of the shows the announcer introduces Bob and Ray
over the song: Love Nest, which was the theme song of Burns and Allen. So
were Burns and Allen also on CBS then ? If not, who preceded them on the
schedule ?
2) in show #56 (590911) Ray makes a remark about Andy Griffith having a 5
minute show, was this just part of a joke or was Andy actually on CBS ?

Just after I sent that last message I remembered this wonderful site:

and found this listing for LA radio:
[removed][L]59-
09-11-(Fri).pdf
It says Burns and Allen are on KNX at 7:40 PM.
Also that on KNX at 7:30 there is news: Griffith, wonder if that refers to
Andy ?

Subject: christmas episodes
My entire December listening is wall to wall Christmas shows. Does anyone
else do this?
Fibber McGee & Molly are my favorite episodes and there are enough of them
to enjoy one every day.
Other comedic favorites are
Phil Harris (48-12-17 community tree)
ozzie & Harriet (48-12-18 Radio Phonograph)
Duffys Tavern (45-12-21 archies christmas carol)
The ones that are quite touching and make me misty eyed
duffys Tavern (48-12-23_archie meets jesus)
Great Gildersleeve (48-12-22 babys first christmas)
Great Gildersleeve ( 51-12-19 why the chimes rang)
Truth or Consequences ( 47-12-20 christmas show)
Let's hear everybody's favorites. Help introduce me and others to episodes
we are not familiar with.
