Subject: #OldRadio IRC Chat this Thursday Night!
A weekly [removed]
For the best in OTR Chat, join IRC (Internet Relay Chat), StarLink-IRC
Network, the channel name is #OldRadio. We meet Thursdays at 8 PM Eastern
and go on, and on! The oldest OTR Chat Channel, it has been in existence
over nine years, same time, same channel! Started by Lois Culver, widow
of actor Howard Culver, this is the place to be on Thursday night for
real-time OTR talk!
Our "regulars" include OTR actors, soundmen, collectors, listeners, and
others interested in enjoying OTR from points all over the world. Discussions
range from favorite shows to almost anything else under the sun (sometimes
it's hard for us to stay on-topic)...but even if it isn't always focused,
it's always a good time!
For more info, contact charlie@[removed]. We hope to see you there, this
week and every week!

Subject: Reproduction radios
Does anyone have one of those reproductions of old radios? Specifically,
Thomas brand. If so, might you have either the box it came or the original
paperwork? I am trying to find the manufacturer's website as I need a
couple replacement knobs. I have not been able to Google up anything like
that.
Thanks.

Subject: Picture of Herb Butterfield?
X-Converted-To-Plain-Text: from multipart/alternative
X-Converted-To-Plain-Text: Alternative section used was text/plain
Hi,
Bob Cockrum asked in #72 if anyone knows where there is a picture of actor
Herb Butterfield. (Here comes the commercial, folks). There are four
pictures of Herb in Frank Bresee & my book "Radio's Golden Years" on pages 64,
108,169 & 180.
Although they are line drawings,(they're all the same) and were based on a
photo I used to have, it gives you pretty good idea of what he looked like.
The book is STILL available directly from me, only $20 (postpaid) and
autographed if you wish. BOBB LYNES, BOX 561, SOUTH PASADENA,CA 91031. (End
of commercial, fade [removed])
