Like many here on this list, I was somewhat shocked to hear of Charlie Summers passing. Even though we had our disagreements over the years, Charlie's dedication to the OTR world is really amazing.
I remember with great fondness my college years (20+ years ago) with the OTR Chatroom with Charlie, Lois Culver, Hal Stone, and even Harry Bartell popping in occasionally. Oh what great fun that was.
I am not sure how Charlie has this digest rigged up to run on auto pilot, but I would certainly be happy to offer my computer expertise to continue to run an OTR digest. I obviously do not have access to Charlie's stuff, but I could come up with something similar.
If I can be of service or help in collaborating, do let me know.
RIP Charlie.
Ryan Hall

I can't say I really knew CS (I believe my first direct contact with him wa=
s when I was berated for not using plain text!) but I certainly appreciate =
what he did here. The Digest was very helpful and informative over the yea=
rs. Both it and he will clearly be missed. [removed]

When I joined the OTR Digest in the 1990s, there were often 50 or more n=
otes a day. But as Facebook grew, the OTR Digest shrunk. =
And with Charlie gone, the Digest may well come to a sudden stop.
So I invite you to join us on Facebook, where many OTR Digest members no=
w post regularly.
Here are the three most active Facebook OTR groups: Old Time Radio Fans=
, Old Time Radio Lovers, and The Old-Time Radio Researchers.

I was saddened to read this. I=E2=80=99ve been a follower of the Digest =

Glad to see that my E-mails got through despite me not having the capability
to send plain [removed] But I'm sure that Charlie is laughing out there at the
fact that he's still getting to chew me out about it through his

READ the E-mails, [removed] I got it firsthand from him many, many times and
