I recall that The Hermit's Cave featured stories hosted by "The Hermit." I
seem to remember that the Shadow also began his life on radio as a story
host. Were there other OTR anthology-show hosts like this? I'd love to see a
list if someone has one. Thanks!

Subject: The Shadow
In issue #76 the Australian version of The Shadow was mentioned in an
upcoming Glowing Dial guide:
The Shadow (Australian Version) - "The Case Of The Burning Skull"
based on the American story of the same title originally aired - date
unknown on Australian Radio - Grace Gibson Syndication American airdate
Sunday, March 18, 1945, MUTUAL - Australian airdate unknown
Starring: Lloyd Lamble, Lyndall Barbour.
Sustained.
In Australia it was called Case of the Flaming Skull and according to my
records it aired in Australia in 1947-05-01. As with many aspects of this
series, information differs, Transcription Label says Flaming Skull, Intro
says Burning Skull, Cost sheets for the production say Flaming Skull.
