The Van Dyke process dates back to the 19th-century and is simialr to the Van Dyke process. A mix of chemicals is coated onto a piece of paper which is then dried. A piece, or pieces of film is placed over the sensitized paper and then exposed to ultra-violet like, such as the sun. It is then fixed, washed, and dried, producing a brown toned image.
