Precisionist Series
Science Building, 2022, graphite and pastel on paper, 22" x 15".
Science Building is my interpretation of the west end of the science building on the MSUB campus. While not a completely accurate rendition, it does exhibit Precisionist principles in how line traces the lighting across the geometric shapes which are emphasized by the one-point perspective and how light in the sky is rendered in geometric patterns. The relocation and addition of color to the ventilation stacks creates a focal point.
